NEURAL ACTIVITY
Your brain has 86 billion neurons that communicate by sending and receiving signals through axon-dendrite connections called synapses. Neurons generally have three parts: a dendrite that receives a signal, a cell body called a soma that computes the signal, and an axon that sends a signal out.
Neurons are connected through synapses and communicate through electrical signals that can initiate action potential after receiving the right combination of spatiotemporal synaptic input.
