THE RED WALL
Inspired by world renowned Ricardo Bofill’s housing project, La Muralla Roja, located within the La Manzanera development in Spain’s Calpe, I drew a series of illustrations of La Murualla Roja. Bofill’s project clearly references the popular architecture of the Arab Mediterranean Area in the tradition of the casbah. The striking colours of the outer and inner facades either contrast with nature or complement its purity.
I drew these seven illustrations using my Wacom tablet with stylus and Adobe Illustrator. No 3D plugins or special effects were used in creating these illustrations. They’re simply hand-drawn 2D illustrations (vector-based) that highlight my skills and sense of perspective.
